Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for mechanical commodities such as sheet metal, machined components, castings, and fabricated parts.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
Manage the entire RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, including preparing RFQs, analyzing supplier quotes and negotiating price.
Understanding of raw material pricing trend in the market, Machine hour rates in the market and labour rates.
Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality and timely deliveries.
Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with company quality standards and terms.
Collaborate with internal departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Production to understand technical requirements and project timelines.
Implement cost-saving initiatives through competitive sourcing and strategic negotiations.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical sourcing practices.
Drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance through benchmarking and market analysis.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement of mechanical commodities.
Strong understanding of mechanical components, manufacturing processes, and market trends.
Proven experience in vendor management, development, and negotiation.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems is a plus.
Strong communication skills in English, Hindi & Kannada (additional local language will be a plus point)
Ready for frequent travel to supplier visit.
